Yoga and Essential Oils…

I just recently found my way into Yoga and have benefited greatly from it. I love the way it can take all the stresses of everyday life and help you center yourself and ease your stresses away. Of course I use essential Oils to help me center my mind, body and spirit in order to enhance my Yoga experience. There are many ways you can use Oils to help you with this and wonderful blends made specifically to center you mind.

Here are three ways to benefit from your Yoga with Essential Oils:

* Diffusing – aromatic essential oils are evaporated into the yoga practice space to create an inspiring/motivating mood and to enhance breathing.

* Purifying – essential oils are applied as powerful cleansing agents to wipe down and deodorize the yoga mat or used to clear the atmosphere.

* Anointing – essential oils are used in applications of massage to enhance body stretching and recovery or worn as a scent to support visualization, meditation and focus.

I love YouTube for finding FREE Yoga videos. Here is a great one I do on a daily basis to help me feel centered and stress free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsLAc-2y0bE

Also I have a wonderful recipe I spray on my Yoga mat before and after it helps lift the spirit and also disinfects the mat plus a second recipe for diffusing. I hope you enjoy and can get a chance to try them out especially with the stressful Holiday season!

Yoga Mat Spray

2 oz distilled Water in a glass spray bottle

15 drops Lavender Essential Oil

15 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Spray mat and gently wipe dry it will leave your mat clean and bacteria free and also smelling great

Yoga Diffuser Stock Blend

5 lm Glass orifice reducer bottle

15 drops Frankincense (Boswellia carterii)

10 drops Juniper Berry (Juniperus communis)

20 drops Elemi (Canarium luzonicum)

15 drops Bergamot (Citrus bergamia)

Combine all oils into the 5ml bottle then add 5-6 drops to your diffuser to fill the room with the oils during your Yoga session.

Enjoy and I hope you try this out I cannot express the benefits I have had with my new found love of Yoga.
