Apple Cider Vinegar for your scalp!

If you have read my blog you know I suffer from really bad scalp psoriasis and have been using anything I can to help keep it at bay. I recently discovered Apple Cider Vinegar and the benefits it has for your scalp and hair among many other uses. I was only interested in the use for the scalp to help clear up my psoriasis and tame flaking skin. I have been doing it for about two weeks now and love the results thus far.

I use it about three times a week because I have a bad case right now and wanted to clear it up quickly. Why Apple Cider Vinegar?? Well I have been researching things that can help aid my Essential Oils that are natural to battle my psoriasis and found lots of recommendations about Apple Cider Vinegar and decided to read more about this product. I love that it is all natural of course but the best is all the benefits it has for all sorts of issues and is very versatile. It is a great detoxifier for the body and skin due to the antibacterial and antimicrobial properties it has. It helps to balance the bodies PH levels and aid in the reduction of illnesses and impurities in the body promoting all over wellness and health. I am glad to hear all the benefits but like I said I was only interested in the head area. I have to say I am surprised and pleased at the results not only is the itching and scaling reduced just after two weeks but I have found my hair to be strong, healthy and even a bit thicker!!

Now I know what you are thinking because I thought the same thing Vinegar does not smell the greatest and I don’t want to smell like a salad all day on my head. I can assure you after you use conditioner and have rinsed the hair well it does not smell at all. If you smell it you did not rinse it well enough.

I hope you give it a try even if you are looking to improve the overall texture and strength of your hair.

Here is a recipe I use:

4 oz flip top bottle

2 oz Apple Cider Vinegar (make sure it has “mother” on the label)

2 oz distilled water

10 drops Lemon Essential Oil

10 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Combine in the bottle shake before each use first shampoo hair as normal then squirt mixture onto scalp and hair be sure to rub it in and leave on your head at least 5 – 10 min. Follow with conditioner. You can do this 2-3 times a week.

I hope you enjoy this information and are able to give it a try!
