What’s in your body lotion??...

Every time you put on that lotion after a bath, shower or when you skin feels dry I ask you to first turn it over and read the ingredients! Half of them I am sure you cannot even pronounce or have to Google to find out what they really are made of. There are so many ingredients that are so bad for your body and your health that the US can put into cosmetics and skincare products. We are not heavily regulated as far as chemicals go in the industry and that is truly sad. You could be poisoning your body and not even know it. This is why I have chosen to make my own from scratch! My lotion is made of natural butters and oils found in the earth and grown with high quality and Organic!

lotions can include:  Water, Glycerin, Stearic Acid,
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dimethicone, Glycol Stearate,
Peg-100 Stearate, Petrolatum,
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cyclopentasiloxane,
Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Fragrance,
Stearamide Amp, Phenoxyethanol, Triethanolamine,
Carbomer, Disodium Edta, Methylparaben, Propylparaben,
Titanium Dioxide.

 YIKES that is a lot of ingredients. I searched just one of them Disodium EDTA and that was found to have harmful effects with long term use. Environmentalist groups to claim that it is toxic, carcinogenic and mutagenic, or capable of producing mutations in live offspring. The FDA claims that the quantity approved for cosmetic use is not toxic and limits these effects?? Why even have these effects even if it is a small percentage that is a risk I am not willing to take!

My lotion contains Shea Butter, Emulsifying wax, Stearic acid, sweet almond oil or avocado oil and olive oil. Everything is natural and great for your skin without the toxic effects. Please be cautious of your products you put on your body as I have said before it only takes 26 seconds for chemicals to reach your blood stream and affect your overall wellness. I hope this post can help you to be safer and take care of the body you have.
